An Evening with Sarah Kay and Mahogany L. Browne

  • The Pavilion at the Inn at Serenbe 10950 Hutchesons Ferry Road Palmetto, GA, 30268 United States (map)

Mahogany is 2016's recipient of the SWACC! Focus Fellowship at AIR Serenbe. This award residency supports a spoken word artist with a commitment to community and collaboration. Sarah, an alumni of AIR Serenbe and now a member of our National Advisory Council, will collaborate with Mahogany for a week of this residency. During this time, for one very special night, they will perform together, sharing their talents and voices with a lucky audience at Serenbe.

Sarah Kay received a Master's degree in the Art of Teaching Secondary English. She co-founded Project V.O.I.C.E. in high school and became the youngest poet to compete at the National Poetry Slam in 2006. An education advocate and keynote speaker for educational organizations such as NAIS, ECIS, AISA, NBTA, and IBO, Kay continues to perform her spoken word poetry to a wide array of audiences spanning several continents. Take a look at Sarah's latest news and projects here:
